Man Killed in Hollywood Riviera Crash

Jay Glaser was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 50-year-old man was killed during a single-vehicle crash in the Hollywood Riviera, the Coroner's Office said Sunday.

Jay Martin Glaser, a resident of Rolling Hills Estates, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:05 a.m. Saturday by the Torrance Fire Department, from a crash in the 300 block of Palos Verdes Boulevard, near the city's border with Redondo Beach at Catalina Avenue, said Coroner's Lt. Fred Corral.

Corral said Glaser was the only person inside his vehicle.

A watch commander from the Torrance Police Department could not be reached for immediate comment. The Hollywood Riviera is an area in the city of Torrance where the properties have Redondo Beach addresses.

Glaser worked as a defense attorney in the law firm of Long Beach-based Glaser, Damone and Schroeder, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram.
