The Redondo Beach Police Department released a photo and more details about a missing man not seen since Friday afternoon.

Eric Ferguson, 56, of Inglewood, has autism. At about 1 p.m. Friday, he was with a supervised adult development group based out of Hermosa Beach. The group was at the Redondo Beach Pier, visiting the Fun Factory.

He was last seen near the foot of the pier near Torrance Blvd. when the group was leaving after their outing. He is described as a male black, 5’-11” and 230 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black baseball hat, a dark green T shirt, green short pants, and black Nike shoes.

"Because of his autism, Eric will respond to his name, but is wary of physical contact," according to a Redondo Beach Police Department press release.

Ferguson will not usually hold a conversation, and can be a very repetitious person, officials said. He knows how to ride the bus, but it is believed that he does not have money for the bus or a bus pass on him.

Ferguson lives with his mother in Inglewood, and has not walked away previously, or stayed away from home for a long time.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to contact Redondo Beach police at (310) 379-5411.
