NBA Championship Ring Lost in Redondo
The 1979 NBA Championship ring slipped off Mike Uporsky's finger as he walked his dog on the beach.
A former assistant coach for the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics is searching for a championship ring he lost as he walked his dog on the beach in Redondo Beach, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Mike Uporsky received the gold ring with a diamond—now possibly worth more than $100,000—after the SuperSonics won the title in 1979.
"It was rarely off my hand in the 34 years that I had it," Uporsky told CBS Los Angeles. "How I got it and the effort that went into that … it's like losing a family member."
