Police: Driver in 190th Street Accident May Have Been Under the Influence

One person was ejected in the crash.

From a Redondo Beach Police Department press release:

On Monday, at about 12: 13 a.m., a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound 190th Street from Flagler Lane in Redondo Beach.

This vehicle lost control and veered into the westbound lanes of 190th Street, striking a parked car and spinning out of control after hitting the curb. This vehicle came to rest several hundred feet from the first impact.

One unsecured occupant out of the five occupants of the vehicle was ejected. All occupants were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was evaluated for driving under the influene pending further investigation and released at the hospital.

Reports of the vehicle racing a second vehicle are being investigated.
