Police Seek Man Behind Home Invasion Robbery

The home invasion robbery occurred in the Hollywood Riviera.

Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man responsible for a home invasion robbery Nov. 8 in the Hollywood Riviera.

According to a news release from the Torrance Police Department, the crime occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Via Buena Ventura.

The man knocked on the victim's sliding glass door and forced his way inside after the victim opened the door, police said.

The victim did not see a weapon, police said; however, the man pretended to have one in his pocket.

The culprit is described as a 5-foot, 10-inch, 160-pound black man. He was wearing a dark shirt with a skeleton or skull insignia on the front, as well as a dark hood.
