Possible Incendiary Device Found in Attic of Torrance Home

Several residences in the surrounding area are being evacuated and vehicle traffic is being diverted.

UPDATE at 5 p.m.: Torrance police say no incendiary device was found in the attic of a home in the 4100 block of 184th Place in Torrance. The incident was reported around 1 p.m., but the scene was declared clear about an hour later, according a dispatcher.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies say a bomb squad is en route to the 4100 block of 184th Place in Torrance, where there is a possible incendiary device located in the attic of a home.

Several residences in the surrounding area are being evacuated and vehicle traffic is being diverted on Bailey Drive, between 182nd and 186th streets.
