VIDEO: Police Chief Asks Public to Flesh out Redondo Beach Murder Suspect

"We're asking someone to break the silence and tell us where Erick Julian Ortega is," Chief Joe Leonardi says.

Almost a year after a fatal shooting, Redondo Beach Police Chief Joe Leonardi is asking for the public's help to catch the last remaining suspect.

Gardena resident Bobby Darren Reynolds, 38, died after being shot multiple times in June, according to police. He was visiting relatives at a home near the intersection of Lilienthal and Ralston lanes.

Police arrested two of three suspects a week later, Lomita residents Eduardo Antonio Losa, 42, and Shelby Ann Johnston, 29. But Erick Julian Ortega got away.

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to arrest and prosecution of Ortega.

"We're asking someone to break the silence and tell us where Erick Julian Ortega is and doing that, mend the hearts of people on both sides of this tragedy," Leonardi said.

Both Ortega and Losa are documented members of the NSR-13 gang, which is also known as RB-13 or North Side Redondo, Capt. Jeff Hink said at the time. Losa and Johnston were in a domestic relationship.

Investigators believe that Ortega communicates with other gang members who are in the state prison system, officials said.
