As we look ahead to November’s general election, Redondo Beach Patch is devoted to bringing you the information you need about every race in town. Here's our start on the candidates and issues we'll be covering as November draws near.

In the 66th Assembly District race, Rolling Hills Estates resident Craig Huey and Torrance school board member Al Muratsuchi will face off to represent the Beach Cities, Torrance and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Huey is a Republican; Muratsuchi is a Democrat.

On the congressional level, incumbent Henry Waxman and businessman Bill Bloomfield will compete to represent the new 33rd Congressional District, which stretches from the Palos Verdes Peninsula up to Malibu.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, who represents Redondo Beach as part of his fourth district, is running unopposed for re-election.
