FYI, the official voter registration published by the California Secretary of State for AD66 is 256,870 -> http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ror/ror-pages/15day-presprim-12/assembly1.pdf

The widgets above come directly from the Los Angeles Registrar—as in, they're on a page hosted and updated by the Registrar.
You can find the page by going to this URL and selecting the 66th Assembly District page: http://rrccmain.co.la.ca.us/0602_StateContest_Frame.htm You can also visit the page directly, though without any of the Registrar logos, by visiting http://rrccmain.co.la.ca.us/charts/0602/0602AD66.htm.

Thanks to the ignorance of the South Bay Tea Party and their cringing cowardly reluctance to back Nathan Mintz for assembly, we will again have another Democrat in Sacramento. Thank you Gary Aven.

Albert Muratsuchi just lost the November election. Even the liberal Democrats recognize that fact.
"John Perez Wins A Battle Against Torie Osborn, But Loses The War For 2/3rds" "With 100% of precincts reporting,Muratsuchi garnered 22,000 votes while his Republican opponents Huey and Nathan Mintz combined received nearly 33,000 votes. Mintz will certainly endorse Huey, so expect Republican voters to fall in line for the general election. That's a hell of an enthusiasm gap to overcome." http://www.calitics.com/diary/14391/john-perez-wins-a-battle-against-torie-osborn-but-loses-the-war-for-23rds

Interesting comment, CNReporter but only 20% of voters voted, so if more people turn out in Nov., which they probably will, those statistics won't be relevant.

One can blame others, but candidates' positions are their own responsibilities. Nathan Mintz was the only candidate to openly attempt to defend AES' plan to repower on the Redondo waterfront. Most all other candidates willing to address the matter openly opposed it. Admittedly one issue does not necessarily make the candidate, but Mintz was so far off base on this one regionally critical issue that it was hard not to seriously question his overall decision making skills.

Liz, the registrar of voters will sell you a cd of the Voter Registration file for Assembly District 66 that costs $54. Each additional voter history file is $39. For a few bucks you can find out a wealth of information about who votes, how often they vote, and whom/what they vote for.
The statistics of this election are highly relevant to anyone who knows how to read them. I predicted a voter turnout for AD66 within a very narrow two point range. I also predicted that Mintz wouldn't pick up more than 40% of the Republican vote (he picked up 35%). In the aggregate human behavior is highly predictable and politics is no exception. Even if the Presidential election of 2012 becomes a repeat of 2008, which it won't, Huey still wins in November. After the Registrar of Voters certifies the election results I'll purchase the voter history file and then I'll post a detailed Demographic analysis of the results of this election on my website here -> Kordemographics.com
