Telephone Outage Planned for City Offices
The city of Redondo Beach will have its telephone systems upgraded Wednesday evening.
The city of Redondo Beach's phone system will be down for several hours Wednesday evening, according to a Nixle alert sent Tuesday from the Redondo Beach Police Department.
The outage is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. All city phone extensions will be out of service while the telephone system is upgraded, according to the alert.
The city's 911 dispatch center will remain fully operational during the upgrade and will not be affected by the outage, authorities said. In the meantime, people who wish to contact the RBPD or Redondo Beach Fire Department for a non-emergency issue Wednesday night should call 310-379-5411.
