Man to Face 19 Charges Related to Dilapidated House

The owner of the unfinished house at 733 N. Paulina Ave. faces charges that include building code violations.

A South Redondo Beach property owner is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges relating to a half-built and dilapidated house on North Paulina Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Rami Nassif, 42, faces 19 misdemeanor charges relating to the house, including "violating city building codes and public nuisance statutes, failing to obtain proper permits and maintaining a dangerous building," according to the Times.

City officials fenced off the property at 733 N. Paulina Ave. in August.

Neighbors told the Times that no work has been done to the house, which Google Maps shows currently consists of a frame covered with a black tarp, since 2008. Nassif did not renew building permits after 2010, and he has defaulted on the initial $650,000 loan.

Nassif did not respond to requests for comment from the Times.
