The real estate market in the South Bay ended 2012 optimistically, with a rise in sales and median price of single-family homes and condos.
The Daily Breeze reports a rise in sales of condominiums and single-family homes in December, according to numbers from the South Bay Association of Realtors. Single-family home sales were 16 percent higher in December 2012 than the previous year and condo sales were 11 percent higher.
The median price of single-family homes was $500,000—8.7 higher in December 2012 than December 2011. Median condo prices were up 18 percent to $395,000, according to the Daily Breeze.
