The Redondo Beach Board of Education will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday for people who are interested in serving on the school board.
Board members Jane Diehl, Drew Gamet and Todd Loewenstein have served the maximum number of terms and are not eligible to run for re-election.
Redondo Beach residents will vote for their choice of school board members in the March 5, 2013 municipal election. The new board members will assume their seats on April 1, 2013.
Members of the school board, which oversees the education of students from kindergarten through adult school in Redondo Beach Unified School District, serve four-year terms.
Tuesday night's presentation at the RBUSD offices is designed to help potential candidates understand how the district is run and what educational programs are offered.
The District Board Room is located in the school district offices at 1401 Inglewood Ave. in North Redondo Beach.
