RU 17 – Valencia 38

The Sea Hawks ended their season Friday evening at Valencia High School after a hard fought playoff game.  Redondo stayed in the game right up to the end, and played with pride and passion all night long.  As Carl Osborne, a Santa Clara sports reporter wrote, It’s the old “the game was a lot closer than what the score indicated.”  However, the Vikings went on a run late in the third, and the Hawks couldn’t recover.  And just like that, our season was over.

We are all very proud of our boys as they worked hard through a long off season, played an awesome pre-season, and battled through a tough Bay League.  Through all the ups and downs, the Sea Hawks remained a team, and kept fighting with integrity and class toward the goals we had set.  In the end, that’s what this is all about.  Thank you to them all; for their commitment, sacrifices and hard work.  Also, thank you to all the many, many people that go into supporting and running a football program.  Far too many to list here, but you know who you are.  A special thank you to our Senior Sea Hawks.  Good luck in all that you do.  You will always have your BROTHERS here at Redondo.  Thank you!
