Meditation for Business
I was listening to a business podcast this week that features one entrepreneur a day. Each entrepreneur has his or her own tips and tricks about how to run a business but I didn't feel like I could associate with much of what they said until I heard James Roche tell his story.
James is a business coach in his own company, Roche Marketing. What James didn't share until later in the podcast episode was that he attributes a lot of his success to meditation. He needs it to ground down at the beginning of the day to clear his mind and be present.
Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of patience, focus and determination. Meditation and visualization can help develop all three categories even if your practice for a few minutes a day.
Try reciting a mantra in your mind throughout the day or take a few minutes before work to ground down, be present and focus your mind. Mantras can be something like: I am abundant financially, Today I am open to new business ideas, I follow my intuition...
Never tried meditating? It's ok, you can start with us! Stop by the South Bay Yoga Conference August 9-11 2013 to try it out. Sometimes guided meditation can be a great way to start and to help eliminated the mind chatter.
See you there
~Namaste~
