PedalPalooza

South Bay 350 is partnering with the South Bay Bicycle Coalition and pedaling to promote the South Bay Bicycle Master Plan, which links the first seven cities of the South Bay with bikeways: Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Lawndale and Gardena.

At 9 a.m., a small group of cyclists will be starting on the beach bike path in Torrance at RAT Beach, taking a carbon-free, fun and funky bike ride through Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo. Please download our South-to-North PedalPalooza Route Map (attached).

We're looking for 10 riders/representatives from each city to join us as we reach their city line and pedal with us. Bicycle riders from Lawndale and Gardena will be riding west from their cities to meet up with us in downtown El Segundo on Main Street, where we'll gather to eat, celebrate and talk about biking in the South Bay at Rock and Brews at 143 Main St.

This will be the South Bay Bicycle Coalition's first public outreach to call attention to the seven-city master plan, and we will be creatively calling attention to the need for more and safer bicycle lanes and the urgent need to replace a car ride with a bike ride whenever possible.

Get involved: Riding slots are limited; RSVP today to claim your spot. Call Jim Hannon at 310-341-8701 or RSVP online.
