The Pink-100

Spectrum Athletic Club in Redondo Beach will partner with The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment of Torrance to host The Second Annual “Pink 100” charity event to raise awareness of breast cancer. Get a fun workout for a great cause and receive a free pair of SKECHERS! Cancer survivor Michael Garvey, president of The Dumbell Man will provide two Cybex Pink Arc Cross Trainers which will run for 100 hours. The event will take place at Spectrum Athletic Club located at 819 Harbor Drive, October 25th-28th, Tuesday-Friday from 7am-7pm, and Saturday, October 29th, from 11am-1pm.  Interested participants can pledge a $100 flat entry fee to work out on the Arc Cross Trainer for one full hour. The goal is to raise $10,000 in 100 hours with all proceeds being directed to Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach, a non-profit organization that provides free group support programs to cancer patients and their loved ones. SKECHERS® will generously donate a free pair of running shoes (retail value up to $100) to the first 100 participants who sign up for the hour. Those who don’t wish to work out on the Cross Trainer themselves may sponsor volunteers for the $100 (or more) to participate in their place. Spectrum will host a post-event party with food provided by Waterman’s Grill of Hermosa Beach on Saturday from 1-4pm to celebrate the close of the 100th hour. To register for The Pink 100 or for more information call (310) 376-3550, or visit http://www.cancersupportredondobeach.org/special-events/the-pink-100.
