Good Friday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're still stuck in the small wave rut, so, if nothing else get out there and go for a paddle! There's plenty of sunshine, and the water feels nice.
The conditions are starting off clean and glassy, with a minimal mix of northwest windswell and some leftover south-southwest energy in the water. That recipe is offering some mainly soft, sectiony lines, with a few that'll get you going.
Most spots in Redondo Beach are running about ankle- to knee-high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling some thigh-high waves and maybe a waist-high set if you're lucky.

Checking the tide—at 4:40 a.m., the tide drained out to a -0.8-foot low, which will have many spots lacking water and inconsistent early on. The tide will climb to a 3.7-foot high at 11:12 a.m. and drop to a 2.1-foot low at 3:45 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, you'll need no more than a thin full suit for at least the morning session, with the water temperature averaging between 63 and 66 degrees. Good luck out there!
