Surf Report: More Sizeable Surf

High tide: 3.3 feet, 8:22 a.m.; 6.1 feet, 7:14 p.m. Low tide: 2.2 feet, 12:42 p.m. Water temperature: 64-67 degrees.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're there's plenty of playful-plus size surf out there, but we're lacking a bit in the shape department!

We're starting off with some pretty clean and glassy conditions, with a mix of some modest southwest swell, some south-southwest energy and small-scale northwest windswell.

That recipe is providing this stretch of coast with some fast semi-wally lines, with some fun pick-and-choose corners. Most spots in Redondo Beach are running about knee- to chest-high, with the top combo breaks pulling some larger sets.

Checking the tide—at 8:22 a.m., it climbed to a 3.3-foot high. It will drop to a 2.2-foot low at 12:42 p.m. before pushing back up to a 6.1-foot high at 7:14 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, well that water temperature has dipped down to 64-67 degrees, so you'll most likely want to wear a short-sleeved full suit for at least that morning session. Have fun out there!
