Surf Report: Pray for Surf
Low tide: 0.5 feet, 8:19 a.m.; High tide: 4.0 feet, 3:22 p.m. Water temperature: 60-63 degrees.
Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's time to pray for some surf—we're waking up with some very minimal energy out there today!
The conditions are starting off pretty clean early on, with some spots seeing a little texture. There's a very minor mix of some remnant southerly energy and some tiny northwest windswell in the water.
That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some pretty gutless, crumbly lines, with not a lot to work with. A log or a stand-up paddleboard is a must! Most Redondo Beach spots are seeing ankle- to knee-high waves with the top combo spots seeing a few plus sets.

Taking a look at the tide—at 8:19 a.m. it dropped to a 0.5-foot low, which won't help things due to the lack of energy. Many spots will be pretty inconsistent early- to mid-morning. The tide then climbs up to a 4-foot high at 3:22 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, a thin full suit will do the job for at least that morning session, with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 63 degrees. Good luck out there!
