Surf Report: Small Energy
High tide: 3.9 feet, 2:26 p.m. Low tide: -0.4 feet, 7:27 a.m. Water temperature: 56-58 degrees.
Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, this stretch of sand isn't offering a lot of size, but every now and then a few playful-sized waves come through. Basically, we're seeing mostly small energy out there!
The conditions are starting off pretty clean, with some texture on it at a few spots. There's a combination of mostly leftover west-northwest swell and some pretty minor southerly energy underneath it.
That recipe is providing some drained-out, sectiony lines, with a few fun shoulders to pick off. Most Redondo Beach spots are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with the top combo breaks picking up the occasional plus set.

At 7:27 a.m., the tide drained out to a -0.4-foot low, which will have many spots in need of water and fairly slow early- to mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 3.9-foot high at 2:26 p.m.
If you're planning on paddling, the water temperature is definitely on the cold side, ranging 56-58 degrees. You'll want to wear at least a 3/2 mm fullsuit—possibly a 4/3 mm—and maybe booties. Good luck out there!
