Surf Report: Waves Lack Energy

High tide: 3.7 feet, 8:50 a.m.; 6.7 feet, 7:58 p.m. Low tide: 1.8 feet, 1:32 p.m. Water temperature: 59-62 degrees.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, unfortunately there's very little energy on tap today, so unless you're itching for a salt water bath, I wouldn't make it a priority to paddle!

The conditions are starting off semi-clean with some spots seeing some texture  or even light bump on the surface.  Taking a look at the waves—there's mainly minor southwest swell and just a hint of northwest windswell out there.

That recipe is offering some this stretch of sand with some fairly weak, crumbly lines, with a few that'll get you going on a longboard.  Most Redondo Beach spots are running about knee-high, with the standout south facing breaks pulling some thigh-high and higher waves.

Checking the tide—at 8:50 a.m., it climbs up to a 3.7-foot high before dropping to a 1.8-foot low at 1:32 p.m. It will push up once again to a 6.7-foot high at 7:58 p.m.

If you're planning on paddling, a 3/2 mm full suit will do you right for at least that morning session, with the water temperature averaging between 59 and 62 degrees.  Good luck out there!
