Coffee Bean Offers Patriotic Promotion

The Coffee Bean will donate $1 from purchases on Independence Day to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit organization that provides aid to U.S. troops and their families.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has teamed up with Operation Homefront to help raise funds for the nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial aid and support to families of service members and wounded troops.

There are several ways customers can support the cause. Stores, including the in Riviera Village, will host an Independence Day event featuring $2 12-ounce Ice Blended drinks, including new summer flavors Cookies & Cream and Mocha Mudslide. For each drink sold, Coffee Bean will donate $1 to Operation Homefront.

Coffee Beans located at airports and inside grocery stores, such as , are not participating in Wednesday's promotion.

In addition, from now through Aug. 5, Coffee Bean will donate $1 from each sale of its limited edition “Support at Home” coffee blend, a pre-ground blend that combines Sumatra and Brazil coffees to create a medium dark roast. The coffee will be available for $9.95 in stores and online while supplies last.

Customers who purchase the “Support at Home” retail coffee can request that the bag be donated directly to returning troops and their families. Each package features a blank surface on the back of the label where customers can write a message.

“We’re proud to debut our ‘Support at Home’ program with the help of our loyal customers whose generosity has made ‘Support from Home’ such a great success in past years,” Coffee Bean President and CEO Mel Elias said. “We hope the bags of coffee and donations bring our servicemen and women and their families comfort in knowing that we as a nation are humbled by their dedication to our country.”
