A power outage in Manhattan Beach on Tuesday morning has resulted in heavy traffic on Manhattan Beach Boulevard during the evening rush hour, according to a news release from the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

A portion of Manhattan Beach Boulevard runs through Redondo Beach.

Crews from Southern California Edison closed the No. 2 westbound lane on Manhattan Beach Boulevard from Sepulveda Boulevard to Pine Avenue to repair the issue that caused the outage.

"The duration of this closure is not known, but it will affect rush hour traffic at the Sepulveda/Manhattan Beach Boulevard intersection," according to police.
