Here's what to look forward to this week in Redondo Beach.

Happy Monday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know this week:

  1. The Redondo Beach City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at city hall, located at 415 Diamond St. in South Redondo Beach.
  2. Classes resume Monday for students attending schools in the Redondo Beach Unified School District.

  4. Even if you’re not a football fan, it’s important to know that the 2014 VIZIO BCS National Championship is being played Monday in Pasadena. No. 1 ranked Florida State University takes on second-ranked Auburn University.
  5. Saturday is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. An estimated 20 million men, women and children around the world are victims of human trafficking. You can take a free awareness-training course online.
