Monday Essentials: Bring Your Holiday Cheer

Here's what to look forward to this week in Redondo Beach.

Happy Monday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know this week:

  1. The Redondo Beach City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Redondo Beach City Hall.
  2. The Redondo Union High School Choir and Jazz Band present Wednesday evening in the annual holiday show. For more holiday events, check out our events calendar—and don't forget to add your own!
  3. The week before Christmas is a great time to donate food to needy local families. Consider a donation of food of funds to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The organization feeds 1 million people annually in Los Angeles County.
  4. Saturday is the first day of winter. We don’t always acknowledge this season in Southern California, but after a period of unusually cold weather and pleas to conserve natural gas, it sure feels like winter. Here’s a link to the official winter forecast.
  5. The photo above of Redondo Beach was posted to Flickr's Creative Commons collection by user dancingnightsaway.
