Monday Essentials: It's Race Week!
Here's what to look forward to this week in Redondo Beach.
Happy Monday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know this week:
- This Sunday is the Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K Race! Registration ends Wednesday.
- The Redondo Beach City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at city hall, located at 415 Diamond St. The Redondo Beach Unified School District Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the district offices on Inglewood Avenue.
- You can sample Los Angeles’ world-class cuisine at a discount during dineLA Restaurant Week, which continues through Friday. More than 350 restaurants are participating.
- Monday is designated by the United Nations as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1945 and honors the victims of the Nazi era.
- Attention husbands, boyfriends and significant others: Valentine’s Day is just three weeks away. Now is a good time to think about gifts and make restaurant reservations. Don’t say you weren’t told!
