Monday Essentials: It's Race Week!

Here's what to look forward to this week in Redondo Beach.

Happy Monday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know this week:

  1. This Sunday is the Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K Race! Registration ends Wednesday.
  2. The Redondo Beach City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at city hall, located at 415 Diamond St. The Redondo Beach Unified School District Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the district offices on Inglewood Avenue.
  3. You can sample Los Angeles’ world-class cuisine at a discount during dineLA Restaurant Week, which continues through Friday. More than 350 restaurants are participating.
  4. Monday is designated by the United Nations as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1945 and honors the victims of the Nazi era.
  5. Attention husbands, boyfriends and significant others: Valentine’s Day is just three weeks away. Now is a good time to think about gifts and make restaurant reservations. Don’t say you weren’t told!
