Cannery Row Studios
Drag box to select area
This warehouse was originally a lumber mill in the late 1800, then a fishery. Since 1990, it has been a special place for local artists to create, curate and display their work. Richard Stephens and Paul Orvalla opened the studio to preserve and continue the Bohemian art scene that once thrived in Redondo Beach. The studio's name refers to the Steinbeck novel of the same name. Though Paul died in 2000, Richard carries on the tradition of helping local artists show their work and keeping the local art community alive. A calendar of events can be found on the Web site.
