City of Redondo Beach: City Attorney's Office

<p>Redondo Beach City Attorney Michael W. Webb represents and advises the City Council, city officials, and employees in all matters of law. The city attorney also represents the City in all civil litigation.</p> <p>The City Attorney's Office prosecutes all misdemeanors and the felony cases referred back to the Office from the District Attorney. City Procesutor Brenda Wells files criminal complains in the Superior Court and Southwest District, represents the People of the State of Califortnia in motions, pretrial hearings, court and jury trials, writs and appeals, and advises and trains law enforcement. </p> <p>The Community Proscution Programs include: Gang Activity and Crimes Prevention; Spousal Abuser Prosecution Program; Identity Theft Investigation/Prosecution Team; Homeland Security; Habitual Offender Project; Pier Offender Prosecution Program; Public Resource Code Prosecutions and Assistance to SEA Laboratory in Redondo Beach.</p>
