City of Redondo Beach: Redevelopment Agency

<p>Established in 1962, the Redondo Beach Redevelopment Agency consists of the Mayor and the members of the City Council with the City Manager serving as the executive director/secretary, the City Attorney as the counsel, the City Treasurer as the treasurer, and the City staff as the Agency staff . Its mission is to rehabilitate devastated areas in the city as a public entity.</p> <p>The Agency has contributed vastly to the redevelopment of the public buildings, such as the Main Library and the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, through the state tax increment financing program.</p> <p>The Agency currently has three project areas: Aviation High School; Harbor Center; South Bay Center. It meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.</p>
