Ryan Simonson, Neighbor

After graduating from San Jose State University in 2001, Ryan moved south to chase his dreams of blockbuster screenplays and Oscar nominations.  Stints in production on Star Trek: Enterprise (no, I can't speak Klingon) and in T.V. development at Paramount Pictures soon followed.  More recently, Ryan has been a freelance copywriter for several advertising agencies in Los Angeles.  He's very excited to be joining the Patch team, and is looking forward to meeting other contributors in the community.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys the outdoors playing beach volleyball, golf and basketball, and on rare occasions uses a surfboard to keep himself from drowning in two-foot surf.  He loves living in Hermosa Beach and Los Angeles in general, and tries to make it out to as many live music shows and art openings as possible. 

Ryan lives with his girlfriend, Jessica, in Hermosa Beach, and they look forward to one day owning a home so they can adopt a dog to play Frisbee with.
