Local Boston Bombing Survivor Talks to ABC 7

John Odom was serious injured in the bombings at this year's Boston Marathon.

John Odom, a resident of the Hollywood Riviera who was seriously injured in the April 15 bombings at the Boston Marathon, gave his first television interview to ABC 7 on Thursday night.

"All I remember is waking, looking around and yelling for help," Odom told reporter David Ono. "I was scared to death."

Odom was set to retire a month before the bombings. He was in town to see his daughter Nicole run the marathon.

He spent more than a month at Boston Medical Center before being transferred to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
